What to Expect

Once your healthcare provider refers you to OptionCare, you will receive a call from us explaining what to expect. We make sure that you know how we plan to work with you every step of the way.

If you are receiving home infusion therapy, our specialized OptionCare nurses will help teach you about your condition, the medicine or therapy you are receiving, how to manage any equipment, and what to expect from your therapy.

If you are receiving a product from our specialty pharmacy, one of our experienced care coordinators will call you to make sure that any questions you have about your medication and condition are fully answered. Your care coordinator will call you regularly and provide you with ongoing education. You may also receive regular newsletters.

OptionCare ensures that you always have the supplies that you need.

As appropriate, our OptionCare nurses will train you to safely administer your therapy and make sure that you feel comfortable doing so. Our goal is to promote maximum independence for you and your family.

Throughout your course of therapy, our OptionCare clinicians will closely monitor you, your IV access site (if you have one), and your response to your therapy. We will stay in close communication with your healthcare provider.

What if I have a question or problem?
